Chilean renewable energy developer Andes Solar has received approval from the Environmental Qualification Resolution of Chile for the development of its 152 MW solar photovoltaic project.
The Andino Las Pataguas solar PV project will be constructed in the commune of San Pedro, south of the Metropolitan Region, with an estimated investment of USD150 million. A planned 44 MW energy storage system will also be installed in the location of the project.
The project will be connected to Las Arañas 110 kV electric substation, owned by CGE, through a 10 kilometers long 110 kV single-circuit high voltage line that is connected to a 33/110 kV Elevator Electrical Substation in the plant. Around 254,352 photovoltaic modules will be installed in an area of 309.3 hectares.
