Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP) has partnered with AustriaEnergy Group and Oekowind EE GmbH to jointly develop a 1.7 GW onshore wind farm, green hydrogen and ammonia production facility in the southern region of Chile.
Named as HNH Project, the joint venture is estimated to invest up to US$3 billion to develop a gigawatt-scale wind farm, electrolyzers and ammonia plant as well as a port facility to export around the world.
Once operational, the project can produce up to one million metric tonnes of green ammonia annually.
