Energiekontor has been granted permission to develop three solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, with a combined producing capacity of over 130 MWp.
The three solar parks will be constructed in Dettmannsdorf. Since 2019, the neighboring municipality, the town of Marlow, as well as the local agricultural company that provides the land, have been involved in the planning.
Energiekontor has already executed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a 15-year term for the solar parks. The facilities will save around 80,000 tons of CO2 per year upon completion and can power approximately 40,000 homes. Construction is anticipated to commence at the start of 2023, and completion is scheduled for 2024.
