Fluence Energy GmbH and TransnetBW GmbH have planned to develop the 250 MW Netzbooster battery-based energy storage project in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The Fluence-supplied energy system will be placed in Kupferzell, a major grid hub. It is slated for completion in 2025.
Netzbooster will reduce the number of preventive measures necessary in system operation and increase grid utilization, decreasing the requirement for traditional network reinforcement and expansion.
