Enel starts construction for 60.9 MW Azabache Park solar project in Antofagasta

Enel Green Power Chile, a unit of Enel Group, has started the development and construction of the 60.9 MW Azabache Park solar project located in the city of Calama in Antofagasta Region, Chile. 

The facility will consist of about 154,710 bifacial panels. It is expected to generate up to 184 GWh of energy per year and offsets about 136,300 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.

The project is expected to require about US$49 million of investment.
