Endesa SA has secured an environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval for its 49 MW Galatea wind project in Catalonia, Spain.
With around EUR50 million (US$54.4 million) investment, the wind farm will feature nine wind turbines, estimated to generate approximately 140 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power approximately half of the residences in the comarca.
Since 2020, the project has been undergoing the permitting procedure. The construction is scheduled to begin in early 2024.
