The 50 MW Cofrentes wind farm of Elecnor has secured a permit from the Valencian Community for the start of the operation of the project.
The project was developed by the unit of Elecnor, Enerfin Sociedad de Energia SL, for an estimated investment of about EUR53 million (US$57.6 million). The facility has a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Spanish oil-and-gas company Compania Espanola de Petroleos SA, better known as Cepsa.
The project consists of 13 GE wind turbines that are capable of delivering up to 155,000 MWh per year.
