Renewable energy developer Grupo Ecoener SAU has started the construction of turbine foundations for the proposed 12 MW wind project on the island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands, Spain.
The project, with a total investment of about EUR17 million (US$12.69 million), will have five Enercon E-82 E4 wind turbines that will be installed in the island's capital San Sebastian de la Gomera. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to generate enough energy for the consumption of the entire island.
