The National Energy Commission (CNE) made the concession on behalf of the Dominican State for the development of the 50 MW agro-energy complex, situated in the Cerro Gordo area, Monte Andrés section, Baní municipality, Peravia province. It will house a photovoltaic solar power plant that generates 50 MW of clean energy for the national electrical system.
The complex's innovative design ensures crop production throughout the year, increasing food security and contributing to responsible consumption and production.
The project represents a vital stride in reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources and reducing the environmental impact associated with energy production in the Dominican Republic.
