The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has announced the addition of 100 MW of solar capacity to the the 900 MW fifth phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. According to the state-owned utility, the site now has 1,627 MW of solar capacity.
For the fourth and fifth phases of the project, another 1,233 MW of solar and concentrating solar power (CSP) capacity is being installed. However, Dewa has yet to install the 250 MW of solar power for the fourth stage which also includes plans for a 100 MW solar tower and a 200 MW parabolic trough.
