ACWA Power has secured a commercial operation certificate for the Photovoltaic Phase 1 (PVFD1) of the 217 MW first phase of the Noor Energy 1 Solar project in Dubai, UAE.
Noor Energy 1 project is part of Phase IV of DEWA Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park (MBR Solar Park). The park is composed of a 950 MW hybrid capacity, divided into a 700 MW concentrated solar power (CSP) plant and a 250 MW solar PV capacity.
ACWA Power won the development of the 950 MW project through a competitive round after offering a winning tariff of US$0.0730 per kWh.
