CWP Europe and Power China Resources have formed a partnership to construct the 300 MW Vetrozelena wind project in Serbia. The wind farm, which will have 48 turbines, is scheduled to be completed by 2025.
Upon completion, the Vetrozelena wind farm will be the largest wind farm in Serbia and one of the largest in the region. The project represents one of the largest foreign direct investments in Serbia and is a critical step toward the diversification and decarbonization of the Serbian energy mix.
CWP has developed some of the most extensive wind farms in the region in the previous 15 years, including Europe's largest wind farm, the 600 MW Fântânele-Cogealac in Romania.
