Solarvest Holdings Berhad announced that it has successfully completed the construction and commissioning of 13 MW floating solar in Dengkil, Selangor, Malaysia. The plant is built on an ex-mining lake for WD Solar Sdn Bhd, a part of the WD Group.
It is the largest floating solar plant comissioned in Malaysia. The solar project consists of 38,790 pieces of solar panels spread over the lake surface area of approximately 53 hectares. The plant generates 16,640 MWh of solar energy which is sufficient to power up over 5,800 houses. The plant reduces 11,548 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.
