TNB Engineering Corporation Sdn. Bhd, a part of Malaysian national utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad, has awarded Solarvest Holdings Bhd the development contract to build a 50 MW solar photovoltaic project under the Round Four of Malaysia’s Large Scale Solar (LSS) program.
The project will be built in the town of Bukit Selambau in the state of Kedah. The project represents about MYR46.75 million (US$11.2 million) of investment and will have up to 140,000 solar modules.
The solar farm is expected to be delivered and operational by the first quarter of 2023.
