Ipmuda Berhad has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Coara Marang Sdn Bhd worth MYR78 million (US$18.8 million) for the development of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Marang, Malaysia.
Coara Marang is a special purpose company owned by German solar projects developer Ib vogt GmbH and its Malaysian peer Coara Solar Snd Bhd. The project has secured a 21-year power purchase deal with the Malaysian utility Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
The project is expected to be operational by 2021.
