Colbun SA planned to build the 610 MWp Jardin solar photovoltaic project located in the municipality of Pozo Almonte, province of El Tamarugal, Tarapacá Region.
The US$430 million Jardin Solar project with a total installed capacity of 610 MWp (556.6 MW nominal power), will be developed in two stages. The first Stage will have a capacity of 247 MWp and Stage II, whose construction is estimated to begin 36 months after the operation of the Stage.
The project aimed at producing Renewable Energy of Variable Source (ERV), which will be contributed to the National Electric System (SEN) through a line of electrical transmission that will connect with the Nueva Pozo Almonte Substation, owned by Red Eléctrica del Norte SA.
