The consortium of China National Technical Import & Export Corporation and Powerchina Resources has started the construction of the 84 MW Ivovik wind project located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the largest wind farm in the Balkan region.
The project is developed between the municipality of Tomislavgrad and the town of Livno in Herceg-Bosna, one of the 10 cantons in Bosnia's Federation. The wind farm will be consist of 42 wind turbines of 2 MW each.
The developers will invest EUR130 million (US$146.57 million) to build the project. Once operational, it can generate up to 236.6 GWh of electricity per year.
