Brazilian utility Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais SA (Cemig) has started the operation of its solar photovoltaic project located in Janauba municipality, Minas Gerais state in Brazil.
The BRL18.5 million (US$4.9 million) facility consists of 16,000 solar panels spread on a 230,000 sq m area of land.
The project is a developed through subsidiary Cemig Geracao Distribuida in partnership with Grupo Mori Solar Energia.
