The scheme's construction and operation are dependent on securing financial backing from the Government's Hydrogen Investment Package, a multi-million-pound program designed to promote the expansion of the UK's hydrogen economy.
Carlton Power is proceeding with the GBP300 million (US$339 million) project with the support and participation of a local collaboration comprised of Manchester Metropolitan University, Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Trafford Council, Cadent Gas, and Electricity North West.
