Carlton Power has secured planning permission for the 200 MW Trafford Green Hydrogen project located within the company's Trafford Low Carbon Energy Park in Greater Manchester, UK.

The scheme's construction and operation are dependent on securing financial backing from the Government's Hydrogen Investment Package, a multi-million-pound program designed to promote the expansion of the UK's hydrogen economy.

Carlton Power is proceeding with the GBP300 million (US$339 million) project with the support and participation of a local collaboration comprised of Manchester Metropolitan University, Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Trafford Council, Cadent Gas, and Electricity North West.
