Vestas to supply turbines for 1.1 GW Offshore wind farm in Scotland

Inch Cape Offshore Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and ESB, has appointed Vestas as the preferred wind turbine supplier for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm located 15km off the Angus Coast in the East of Scotland.

The project will feature a total of 72 V236-15.0 MW turbines and is expected to generate enough energy to supply about 700,000 homes. The agreement also includes a 15-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract, which will provide a multi-year solution to service the wind farm when operational.

The spokesperson for the Inch Cape Wind Farm project said: "This is another important step in the development of the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, which will be Scotland’s largest single source of renewable power when commissioned".
