The Trafford Green Hydrogen, a unit of Carlton Power, has applied for the development approval from the Trafford Council for a 10 MW hydrogen system in Carrington, UK.

The proposed capacity can generate 4 tonnes of hydrogen daily. The planning application includes details on up to 200 MW expansion of the project to produce 50 tonnes of hydrogen per day. Once the 200 MW system is operational, it can replace the natural gas consumed in the Carlton Power complex.

The construction of the 10 MW project is expected to start in 2022 with the target commercial launch by 2023.
