The Governing Council of the Canary Islands, at the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Knowledge, has approved the development of two wind farms with combined capacity of 28.4 MW.
The two wind farms are the 19.2 MW Hoya de Lucas Wind Farm, promoted by Disa Eólica S.L.U. in the municipality of Arico, Tenerife island and the 9.2 MW Arrecife Wind Farm, promoted by the Insular Council of Waters of Lanzarote, S.A. in the municipalities of Arrecife and Teguise in Lanzarote island.
The two projects represent a total investment of about EUR80 million (US$90 million).
