Seven projects with a total combined capacity of 95.2 MW have been granted approval by the Canary Islands government council.
Salinetas (4 MW), Santa Lucia del Mar (9 MW), Montana de Arinaga (18.9 MW) and Aguimes (9.6 MW) wind schemes are located in Gran Canaria. Parque Magua 1 (8.4 MW) and Central de Granadilla (16.1 MW) are to be installed in Tenerife while Parque Eolico del Rosario (29.2 MW) will be in Fuerteventura.
The wind parks will be eligible for the EUR80 million (US$89.6 million) of finance from the European Regional Development Fund.
