The Project Execution Unit of the National Electricity Company (CEP SNE) has invited sealed bids from eligible and qualified contractors for the comprehensive construction of the 30/90kV substation, which will interconnect with the 30 MWp PV plant (accompanied by 60MWh of storage) in Chad.

The Republic of Chad has secured a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) to fund activities under the Energy Access Increase Project (PAAET). A portion of this funding is earmarked for the construction of a 30/90kV substation designed for the transmission of energy from the 30 MW (AC) Photovoltaic Power Plant and 60 MW Storage System along the 90 kV loop in N'Djamena.

 The construction scope includes:

  • Two 90 kV busbars;
  • One 90 kV busbar coupling (inclusive of two 90kV busbar controls for each busbar section);
  • Two 90 kV transformer bays (housing two three-phase power transformers at 30/90kV with a capacity of 40-50 MVA, utilizing ONAN-ONAF cooling); and
  • Two 90 kV line spans.

Proposals must be physically delivered to the address by January 31, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
