EOI issued for 30 MW solar project in Chad

National Electricity Company (NEC) has invited consulting engineers to express interest in supervising the construction of a 30 MW photovoltaic solar power plant, including a 60 MWh storage system, a 90 kV evacuation line, and a 90/33 kV station in Chad.

The Chad government received funding from the World Bank to finance the cost of activities of the Regional Urgent Intervention Project in the Solar Energy Sector (RESPITE). It intends to use part of this financing to make the payments authorized under the contract. The consulting services encompass the selection of a Consulting Engineer tasked with overseeing and supervising construction activities. The Consulting Engineer, operating under the guidance of the CEP SNE (Delegated Project Owner), will assume complete responsibility for executing the specified services. This includes ensuring the proper implementation and timely completion of the assigned tasks. The Consulting Engineer will also have full accountability for the services, including any components undertaken by subcontractors.

Expressions of interest, written in French, must be submitted in person, by post, by fax, or by email before December 7, 2023. More information about this tender can be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
