Emirates Waste to Energy Company, a joint venture of Bee'ah and Masdar, has planned to build a 120 MW solar photovoltaic project located on a 47-acre Bee’ah Al Sa’jah landfill in Sharjah, UAE.
The project is planned to be built in three phases near Sharjah Waste to Energy facility and Bee’ah’s Waste Management Complex.
The first phase of construction is scheduled to be complete by 2023.
The Emirates Waste to Energy Company will be responsible for the financing, design, procurement, and construction, as well as the 25-year operation and maintenance (O&M) services of the project.
