Avantus starts construction of 110 MW solar PV project in Texas

Avantus (formerly 8minute) has started the construction of the 110 MW Galloway 2 solar photovoltaic project located in Concho County, Texas, USA. 

The project is majority-owned by Allianz Capital Partners with Avantus holding the minority shares. BASF has committed to purchasing the energy produced from the solar farm for the energy demand of its Freeport site. 

Once operational, the project is expected to provide clean energy for up to 60,000 Texans. RES is providing the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the solar farm.
