Avangrid has announced the commercial operation of its 150 MW Lund Hill solar photovoltaic project in Klickitat County, Washington, USA. The solar farm is located on approximately 1,800 acres of land leased from private landowners and the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
The solar farm will supply Puget Sound Energy’s Green Direct program, which allows large commercial and governmental participants to purchase 100% of their energy from local renewable energy resources.
The addition of Lund Hill to Puget Sound Energy's portfolio furthers its deep decarbonization goals and moves toward 100% clean energy by 2045, as called for in Washington's Clean Energy Transformation Act. The project supports Avangrid's commitment to sustainable energy development and the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
