OVO Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Atrata Onsite Energy for the 50 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Richmond, Yorkshire, UK.
Named 'Project Skeeby', the solar farm is expected to provide up to 49 GWh of clean energy per year to OVO Energy, offsetting about 9,500 tonnes of carbon emission per year.
The construction of Skeeby, which Atrato previously purchased in April 2023, is now underway with anticipated completion in March 2024. The PPA will provide OVO Energy with a three-year revenue stream at a fixed price with annual uplifts for Skeeby's energy.
