Argentina has signed eight contracts with winners of the RenovAr 2 renewable energy auction for a combined capacity of a little over 141 MW. The contracts for the renewable energy projects involved one wind, one solar, three biomass, and three biogas facilities. The contracts were signed by the Argentine government, the Undersecretariat for Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mine.
Of the total 88 winning projects, 42 have now signed contracts. In its three tenders, Argentina awarded 147 green energy projects to be installed in 21 provinces with 4,466.5 MW of combined capacity.
