The tender terms for the first high-voltage power transmission line to be developed following a public-private partnership have been recently outlined by the Government of Argentina.
The Ministries of Finance and Energy prepared a document specifying the contractual structure for the 500 kV project located in the central part of the country. The current draft says that interested parties must have experience in construction of substations and power lines of over 300 kV, either from Argentina or abroad.
It is expected that the line must be operational within 33 months of commercial close. The contract comprises a 15-year operation and maintenance period.
