The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has granted a loan financing for the development of the 88 MW La Genoveva wind project in Argentina.
The US$76.1 million financing package includes a US$46.1 million facility from IFC’s Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP), a syndication platform aimed at institutional investors.
The La Genoveva project is part of Argentina’s RenovAr renewable energy auction programme sponsored by local energy company Central Puerto SA. It is expected to be operational by May 2020.
