The 120 MW Bicentennial Wind Farm has been inaugurated in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina and is currently the largest wind farm in the country.
The wind complex 28 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW, through the RenovAr National Program and 7 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW, through the MATER national program. The facility is estimated to generate enough power to meet the demand of more than 100,000 homes.
The project, developed by Petroquimica Comodoro Rivadavia SA (PCR), involved a total investment of US$160 million.
