Aquila European Renewables Income Fund has raised EUR90 million (US$105.5 million) before costs and expenses through the issue of 87,424,431 ordinary shares of EUR0.01 each in the capital of the company (the New Ordinary Shares), by way of a placing pursuant to the Placing Programme established under the Prospectus dated September 27, 2020.
New Ordinary Shares will be issued at EUR1.03 per share, which represents a premium of 5.0% to the company's ex-dividend net asset value (NAV) as of 30 June 2021 (adjusted to reflect the payment of the second interim dividend of 1.25 cents which was paid to eligible shareholders on September 3, 2021.
Application has been made for 87,424,431 New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List, and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities. It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings in the New Ordinary Shares will commence at 8 am on September 14, 2021.
