Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG) has completed the acquisition of the 400 MW Sceirde Rocks offshore wind project in Ireland after the takeover of Fuinneamh Sceirde Teoranta (FST), the Galway Gaeltacht based company that develops the project.
The Sceirde Rocks project is included in the seven 'Relevant Status' developments of the Department of Environment Climate Action and Communications of Ireland. Once it is completed, the wind farm can generate enough energy to power up to 295,000 homes.
