Equinor and the Polenergia Group have applied for a permit for the grid assets for the Baltyk 1 offshore wind project located approximately 80 km from the coastline of Poland.
The proposed onshore power transfer will occur in proximity to the connection infrastructure corridor of the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 projects, which Equintor and Polenergia are jointly developing in the Baltic Sea. Collectively, Baltyk 1, 2, and 3 will have a capacity of 3 GW. Currently, Baltyk 1 has secured permits for cable laying and maintenance in the offshore section, along with a network connection agreement with the transmission system operator.
