The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority has launched the GBP 100 million (US$ 129 million) Green Growth West Fund, appointing Amber Infrastructure, a leader in responsible infrastructure investment, as the fund manager.

The Combined Authority has invested GBP 10 million (US$ 13 million) to attract an additional GBP 90 million (US$ 116 million) from private and public investors over the next 12 to 24 months. The fund aims to support mid-scale infrastructure projects and growth-ready businesses in renewable energy, low-carbon transport, and nature recovery sectors. It is expected to create approximately 9,000 green jobs and generate GBP 300 million (US$ 387.6 million) in turnover growth for local businesses.
