Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL) has won a contract to engineer, design, supply, install, and commission a US$130 million solar project in Bangladesh. The company, which is part of the Amara Raja Group, will partner with Premier Solar Powertech to develop the 100 MW solar farm. The Exim Bank of India will finance the project, which is set to be completed within the next 18 months on a 326-acre site in Madarganj in Bangladesh's Jamalpur district. The project scope includes engineering, design, supply, installation, and commissioning.
As part of the contract, ARIPL will also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for two years, as well as warranty spares and consumables. The project will contribute to the government of Bangladesh's goal of generating 40% of its energy from renewable sources by 2041.
