Nextracker and Amara Raja Power Systems Limited have signed a master supply agreement (MSA) for the delivery of solar trackers for NTPC Ltd's 306 MWp Nokh Solar Project in the state of Rajasthan, India.
The utility-scale power plant covered 1,850 ha (approximately the equivalent of 3,500 contiguous football fields). It will feature solar trackers combined with bifacial module technology. The bifacial tracker that are to be used are designed to increase energy yield and efficiencies.
The first shipments of trackers are expected to arrive in Q1 of 2023, and the project is anticipated to be operational by October 2023.
