Alliant Energy has started the commercial operation of the 50 MW North Rock Solar Photovoltaic Project located in Fulton, Rock County, Wisconsin. The facility consists of 120,000 solar panels that can generate clean energy for up to 13,000 homes.
The project is part of Alliant Energy's Clean Energy Blueprint that would deliver sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective energy to its customers. The construction of the solar farm started in August 2021.
Alliant Energy is a public utility holding company that is based in Madison, Wisconsin, providing power in Iowa and Wisconsin. The company is now the largest owner-operator of solar projects in Wisconsin.
