AES Brasil, Unipar to partner for 91 MW wind project in Rio Grande do Norte

AES Brasil and Unipar Carbocloro have signed a new energy self-production agreement for a 91 MW onshore wind project in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

Both firms will create a joint venture to develop the project, which will be built within AES Brasil's 1.1 GW Cajuina complex. The project has an investment of BRL510 million (US$90.46 million). The deal includes a 20-year contract for the sale of an average of 40 MW starting in 2024.
