Completion of Ventolines' 382.7 MW Fryslan wind farm in Ijsselmeer lake in the Netherlands has been delayed due to bad weather, complex logistics, and the coronavirus pandemic.
The 89-turbine project was initially due online this summer, but has now been pushed back to the third quarter of the year. Installation of the wind farm’s SWT-DD-130 turbines, each with an individual power rating of 4.3 MW, began in spring.
Construction consortium Zuiderzeewind, consisting of Siemens Gamesa and Van Oord, is incharged for the construction.
To date, Fryslan has already been supplying energy to utility Eneco, though not the full project output.
