3.1 MW Softbank Tomakomai Akenokita Solar Park in Japan begins commercial operation

The SoftBank Tomakomai Akenokita Solar Park has started commercial operation. The 3.1 MW project covers an area of 6 hectares in Tomakomai city on the Japanese island of Hokkaido.

The solar facility is expected to generate over 3.8 million kWh a year, the equivalent to the consumption of 1,056 local homes. 

SB Energy was responsible for the design, engineering, procurement and construction of the solar farm.
