Energy services provider Elapath Energy and blockchain-based platform RenewableErgon have collaborated on a 150 MW solar project in Budai, Chiayi County, Taiwan.
The US$250 million project’s first phase is set to launch in December 2024 and aims to be completed by February 20, 2025. This project intends to supply clean energy to around 30,000 homes in Taiwan and beyond.
RenewableErgon, a blockchain-based platform, utilizes smart contracts, dynamic electricity pricing, and investment options to support renewable energy projects, enhancing sustainable energy initiatives through innovative technology and financing.
Yunneng Wind Power Co Ltd. has said that all 80 wind turbine foundations, including both the monopiles and transition pieces, have been installed at the 640-MW Yunlin wind farm located in the Taiwan Strait, between 8 and 17 km off the west coast of Taiwan.
