ABL to provide marine warranty survey services for 920 MW Offshore wind farm in Taiwan
Ørsted has appointed ABL to provide marine warranty survey services (MWS) for the offshore transportation and installation (T&I) of wind turbines and cables package for the 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.
ABL will be responsible for reviewing, surveying, and approving all operations relating to the transportation and installation of all wind turbines and subsea cabling. Additionally, Orsted appointed Van Oord in November 2023 to oversee the transport and installation of three export cables spanning approximately 175 km.
Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms consist of 66 bottom-fixed wind turbines in water depths between 23.8 and 44.1 m, located 35-60 km off the coast of Changhua County.
Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025.
