Turbines order placed for 760 MW Offshore wind project in Netherlands

Ecowende, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco has placed an order for 52 V236-15.0MW turbines for its 760 MW Hollandse Kust (west) site 6 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The wind farm is planned to be situated approximately 53 km off the Dutch coast, near IJmuiden.

After installation, Vestas will provide maintenance for the turbines through a 15-year service agreement aimed at maximizing asset performance. The project boasts a grid connection capacity of 760 MW, with an additional 20 MW surplus to optimize capacity efficiency during periods of reduced production.

Turbine installation is anticipated to commence in Q2 of 2026. The goal is to have the wind farm operational by the conclusion of 2026.
