Swiss Life Asset Managers, on behalf of its investors, has entered into an agreement with Partners Group to acquire a 20% stake in the Borssele III and Borssele IV offshore wind farms with a combined capacity of 731.5 MW located in Zeeland, the Netherlands.
Borssele III/IV wind farms consist of 77 turbines that have been put into operation since February 2021. The wind turbines are constructed about 55 km from the Port of Vlissingen and generate up to 3,000 GWh of energy per year, enough for the consumption of approximately 825,000 Dutch homes.
The closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Partners Group was advised by Rothschild & Co as its financial advisor and Clifford Chance LLP as its legal advisor.
