Energiequelle GmbH

Energiequelle GmbH is a renewable energy developer and operator founded in 1997, with headquarters in Kallinchen near Berlin, Germany. It develops, builds, and operates renewable power assets—particularly wind farms, photovoltaic (solar) plants, biomass systems, energy storage, and transformer stations.

As of 2023/2024, Energiequelle has delivered more than 850 plants with a combined installed capacity of around 1,700-1,760 MW, generating approximately 2.9 billion kWh annually. The company operates from over 25 locations across Europe and has expanded into South Africa as well. Energiequelle emphasizes sustainability, decentralised energy supply, and community participation. It repowers older installations, offers green electricity (via its eqSTROM branch), and pursues local stakeholder engagement. In 2023, the company reported a revenue of ~€247 million, up from ~€213 million the previous year, reflecting growth in its capacity additions and operations.
