Zero Emissions Water (ZEW) has entered into a power purchase agreement deal with the 256.5 MW Kiamal solar photovoltaic plant located in Victoria, Australia.
ZEW is a collective of 13 of Victoria’s water corporations. The deal will allow the water corporations to purchase between 20 to 50 percent of their total energy needs – slashing carbon dioxide emissions by 80,000 tonnes every year.
