The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has granted the development approval for the planned 90 MW Chiredzi solar photovoltaic farm located in Masvingo Province.
The local consortium, Triangle Solar System (TSS), will develop the project with an estimated investment of about US$88 million. It will be built in two phases with 45 MW in each stage capacities.
The construction of the project is set to start before the end of 2020.
